Pumpkinville is a fun fall destination, with lots of farm related activities. There are pumpkins available for sale, straw bales for climbing, loose straw for jumping, corn pit, tug of war, sack races, corn maze, and hayrack rides. You pay for admission to the corn maze; other farm yard activities are free and then you pay for your pumpkins.

Geisler Farms – Bondurant, Iowa


Geisler Farms is a fun pumpkin patch with lots of fun activities in their barnyard. You pay one admission price for the “fun zone” which includes a giant slide, jump pad, swings, rubber duck races, mazes, pedal carts, hamster roll, corn bin, and bags. Pumpkins are available for purchase and can be bought without paying admission, but are not in a traditional patch. They are picked and then placed in a grass field for choosing.

Receive $1.00 off your corn maze admission by sharing one canned or packaged nonperishable food item. The limit is one food item per paid corn maze admission; food will be donated to the Des Moines Area Religious Council’s Emergency Food Pantry.

Howell’s Pumpkin Patch- Cumming, Iowa

Howell’s Pumpkin Patch is down in Cumming; they charge one admission price and then have a few additional activities for an extra charge (pony rides and corn cannon are extra on top of admission; corn maze, jumping pad, pedal go karts, observation deck, human hamster wheel, rubber duck races, corn pit, large slides, pedal tractors are all free).

There is food on site, as well as a full gift shop with holiday decor. Two other things to note are that their wagon rides are wheelchair accessible and they send you a $5 coupon if you sign up for their newsletter online (in the lefthand sidebar).

Jester Park Equestrian Center Pumpkin Patch – Granger, Iowa

Jester Park Equestrian Center Pumpkin Patch is new this year, with a horse drawn wagon ride out to their pumpkin patch where each person gets to pick one out and participate in other farmyard games before taking a wagon ride back to the main equestrian center. You pay one admission price and then the pumpkin and other games are all included.

Center Grove Orchard and Pumpkin Patch – Cambridge, Iowa

Center Grove Orchard and Pumpkin Patch has seasonal apple picking and pumpkins, but is most well known for its large play area with a ton of different play options. There are the usual suspects like a corn maze, corn pit, jumping pillow, hayrack ride, and animals but also several other unique things like barnyard shows, a miniature train to ride, and a combine slide. There are several different food options and a large store; you can easily spend an entire day there!
