Frey Farms doesn’t have a large internet presence, but they have pumpkins for picking along with other gourds and corn.
Iowa Orchard has a few locations; this main location has pumpkins and apples available for purchase but not for picking. A hayrack ride takes families out to the “fun zone” where they can play with badminton, a corn box, tire obstacle course, and a haybale slide. Lots of baked goods available for purchase as well. There is one admission price for the activities.
Geisler Farms is a fun pumpkin patch with lots of fun activities in their barnyard. You pay one admission price for the “fun zone” which includes a giant slide, jump pad, swings, rubber duck races, mazes, pedal carts, hamster roll, corn bin, and bags. Pumpkins are available for purchase and can be bought without paying admission, but are not in a traditional patch. They are picked and then placed in a grass field for choosing.
Receive $1.00 off your corn maze admission by sharing one canned or packaged nonperishable food item. The limit is one food item per paid corn maze admission; food will be donated to the Des Moines Area Religious Council’s Emergency Food Pantry.
There is food on site, as well as a full gift shop with holiday decor. Two other things to note are that their wagon rides are wheelchair accessible and they send you a $5 coupon if you sign up for their newsletter online (in the lefthand sidebar).
