Guye Woods County Park is a wooded refuge; there aren’t any cleared out paths but visitors can hike the game trails. It was a little tricky to find, be sure to look for the brown county signs when driving and read their website for written directions.
Goeldner Woods is a 44-acre wooded park with a few trails and a picnic area. A great birding location, there is also a beautiful wildflower display each spring.
Fellowship Forest started out as a church youth camp, and was donated to the county. It has unique rock formations and waterfalls along with lots of spring wildflowers.
Clanton Creek Natural Resource Area is a large wildlife area with no interior roads, with several different habitats and pedestrian traffic only.
Cedar Covered Bridge Park hosts one of the famous “Bridges of Madison County” with a covered bridge, gazebos, and flower gardens.
